BANK-IDENT (eID)
Identity check with the bank account
Austrian banks have more than 4.3 million verified customer identities. Identity verification compares the customer's data with the identity of his online account. Due to the familiar online banking environment, this method achieves a high level of acceptance.
FOTO-IDENT / FOTO-IDENT PLUS
Identity check with the photo ID
This authentication process compares a customer photo ("selfie") with the photo in the driver's license, ID card, or passport. With Foto-Ident PLUS, the identity is additionally verified by an expert after the automatic check. Both methods are ideal when a picture of the customer is required.
ID AUSTRIA
The state digital identity
ID Austria is the digital identity of the Austrian state, which can be used to identify oneself digitally to public authorities and private providers. More than 2 million Austrians have an ID Austria (as of 12/2023) and thus also a digital signature and secure access to electronic IDs.
AUTHADA
Identity check by the German ID card
Since 2010, the German identity card has had a microchip with an ID function that can be used to digitally prove one's identity. During the identity check, the data in the chip is read by the AUTHADA app with an NFC-compatible smartphone and compared with the manual entries.

The ich.app verifies your identity once from your bank account and stores it encrypted on your smartphone. From then on, the ich.app works like a digital key for many online services and is always with you on your smartphone.
